Rokushoku® (Cooking Recorder & Playback)
A groundbreaking technology that redefines the concept of recipes, transforming culinary crafts into precise data. By meticulously recording time, temperature, pressure, and evaporation — to the exact second, degree, and gram — it enables the faithful recreation of even the most intricate dishes. By using the dedicated app, synchronized with an induction cooktop, Rokushoku®’s recipe guides you through the cooking process to completion. By following the cooking navigation via graphs, video, and audio guidance, you will faithfully reproduce an authentic, delicious dish.
As this system becomes more widespread, recipes from people around the world can be faithfully reproduced, allowing dishes that were once only passed down verbally to be preserved as cooking data and carried on across generations. The goal is to create a future where culinary cultures and knowledge from around the world can be shared and enjoyed. This demonstration features actor Mocomichi Hayami, chef Yuji Wakiya of Wakiya Ichiemi Charo, and Masahiko Sato, owner of the Aomori-based Wine Pub (now closed).
